Background. In the context of unprecedented increasing global competition, the possibilities of breakthrough innovations and scientific and technological progress directly affect the level of economic development and economic security of such macro-systems as the state. The conducted research is aimed at revising and scientifically substantiating a new concept of economic security based on the principles of optimality in the process of ensuring it, and the modern tools and methods necessary for this. Materials and methods. The methodological basis of the study was a systematic approach, the theory of economic and technological development, the theory of formation and development of technological systems and the Bellman optimality principle. Results. The article presents an innovative approach to the formation of a mechanism for scientific and technological provision of economic security based on the use of tools for dynamic optimization of technological development of the industrial sector of the economy. Innovative tools for stimulating development and digital technology for their seamless implementation into the economic security system are proposed. Conclusions. The conducted research has shown that in order to accelerate the introduction of modern technologies and stimulate the technological development of the industrial sector, it is necessary to improve the mechanisms for coordinating scientific and technical policy and policy in the field of economic security, for which a method for coordinating the processes of dynamic optimization of technological development of the industrial sector based on digital platforms has been developed.
